About Us, and Scouting
Why Sell Cookies?
Selling cookies is a tradition in Girl Scouting with goes back to the days of our founder Juliette Lowe. Not getting the funding needed to run the troops, they baked, then sold cookies as a fund raiser. Today, this practice is still the leading source of income for most troops. Please support scouting in your area by buying( or if you are a scout--selling) some cookies. It pays toward summer camp for the girls, raises funds for the troop to spend towards activities, and helps Council run its operations, and run it's camps.

3/12/1912---Girl Scouting is born
"Every Girl, everywhere" is the motto of Girl Scouts. Any girl, Kindergarden age and up can become a scout, and after graduation, Scouting provides scholarships and many opertunities for the girls. As adults, there are always volunteer postions available, such as Troop Leader, to pass the tradition on the the next generation.
